ADELA ERJAVEC

I was born in 1967 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. My art represents abstract and impressionistic works with technique acryl or oil on canvas or wood. I am inspired by classic painters such as Constable, Turner, Velázques, Sorolla, Goya, Renoir, Cezanne, Monet, Pissarro, Jakopič and Kobilca. That is why I recreated some of their works.

All of the paintings are inspired by nature, its beauty and everlasting changing of colors.

The trip to Italy was the most influential part of style and technique and also painting techniques of Cezanne, Matisse, Picasso, Monet, Renoir, Sorolla, Velázquez, Caravaggio…
Color perception is unique with each painting. Composition and contrast coloring is free and open to express thoughts and emotions. Bright and contrast colors and bold lines are the focus of many of my paintings.
Subject of the painting inspires me to use different styles and techniques.
The most vivid influences come from Cezanne, Monet and Matisse.
